Macon, GA – The CGTC Titans (11-8, 7-8) were edged out 83-80 in overtime Saturday afternoon by No. 17 Georgia Highlands College (12-2, 10-2).

Intense from the game's onset, the gritty seesaw matchup between the Titans and the Chargers resulted in 12 ties and 13 lead changes.

The Titans' largest lead (21-12) came at the 8:40 mark of the first half, stemming from an early 15-6 offensive run.

The Chargers would make a late half run of their own, resulting in the Titans being down 34-33 right before halftime.

Evenly matched throughout the second half, the Titans needed a late effort to overcome the Chargers. Down 73-71 with :06.6 remaining and no timeouts, the Titans traveled the length of court for the chance at a final basket.

Off a missed 3-point shot, freshman Errol White secured the offensive rebound and scored a buzzer-beating put-back at the rim to force the game into overtime.

With Georgia Highlands scoring the first basket in overtime, the Titans were unable to regain the lead in the extra period.

The game's true tale of the tape was the Titans' inability to convert at the free throw line. The team went 17 of 34 (50%) from the charity stripe, compared to Georgia Highlands shooting 37 of 49 (75.5%) at the line.
