Highlanders' Men's Basketball Falls In OT At GHC

ROME, Ga. – Despite having three players score 20-plus points, Gordon State fell 102-97 in overtime to Georgia Highlands College here Tuesday night in Georgia Collegiate Athletic Association men's basketball action.

Isaiah Wray (Long Island, N.Y. / Union Grove HS) led all scorers with 26 points and added nine rebounds while JahNile Hill (Manchester, Ga. / Manchester HS) had 25 points for GSC.

Varun Danak (Snellville, Ga. / Brookwood HS) posted another double-double with 22 points and 14 rebounds for the Highlanders.

But it wasn't enough as GHC (10-2, 8-2) put seven players in double-figures, including 25 points from Keandre Bowles to lead the way for the Chargers.

GSC (4-8 overall, 4-8 GCAA) trailed 40-39 at the half, but forced overtime when DeAndre Hayes (Durham, N.C. / Mt. Zion Christian) hit a three-pointer to tie the contest at 87-all.

GSC is off until March 20 when the Highlanders travel to South Georgia Technical College.
