Dahlton Cash is entering his first season as an Assistant Coach at GHC. He will be responsible for coaching the catching corps at Highlands as well as assisting with the offense and the strength and conditioning program. Most recently, Coach Cash spent two years as an Assistant Coach at Young Harris College where he helped lead the Mountain Lions to a 77-36 record. Cash worked specifically with the infielders and catchers at YHC, and he managed the Mountain Lions' in-season and off-season strength and conditioning programs. In 2022, the Mountain Lions won their second Peach Belt Conference Tournament title, while earning the second trip to the NCAA Division II Baseball Championship in three seasons. Young Harris finished that season ranked No. 25 in the Collegiate Baseball NCAA DII Coaches Poll. In 2023, the Mountain Lions finished second in the conference with Cash producing four 1st team All-Conference infielders. He helped lead the Mountain Lions to the most PBC wins in program history and had three players named to the NCAA D2 All-Region Second Team.
Coach Cash graduated from Newnan High School where he was an All-State selection before attending Andrew College in 2017 and 2018. At Andrew, Cash was a key element to the Fighting Tigers offense belting 6 home runs and 24 doubles in his career while driving in 53 runs. After completing his JUCO eligibility, Coach Cash continued his playing career at Young Harris College where he was named first team All-Conference as both a junior and senior. After helping the Mountain Lions to their first ever Peach Belt Conference Tournament Title and NCAA Division II Regional Berth, he was honored with a place on the PBC All Tournament team. During his career at Young Harris, Cash carried a .327 career batting average while tallying 14 home runs, 39 doubles, and 104 RBIs. Dahlton graduated from Young Harris College in 2021 with a Bachelors degree in Business Management.
