Title: Assistant Baseball Coach

Michael Goss is entering his first season as an assistant coach for the Chargers.  Goss is a local product, where he was a standout performer for Stuart Chester at Cartersville High school during his prep career.  After Graduating form Cartersville, Goss continued his playing career for Greg Dennis at Chattanooga State Community College in Chattanooga, TN.  Coach Goss continued to shine at Chattanooga State, belting out at .391 batting average as a freshman, and hitting .367 for his career.  He also blasted 6 home runs in his JUCO career with 19 doubles and 60 RBI's and earned NJCAA National Player of the Week honors in week 5 of the 2015 season.  Goss' performance earned him an opportunity to continue his career at NCAA Division I UNC Greensboro for Head Coach Link Jarrett.  At UNCG, Goss continued to play at an extremely high level hitting .314 as an everyday starter for the Spartans, who won the 2017 Southern Conference Championship and advanced to the NCAA Clemson Regional.  Coach Goss finished his career at UNCG with 12 homers, 84 RBI's, and 26 doubles and earned SoCon Honor Roll Recognition twice and was named to the SoCon All-COnference team in 2017. Goss will be responsible for coaching the catchers and assisting with the offense at GHC.
