The Dana Davis Classic is in honor of former Georgia Highlands College employee Dana Davis. Dana was one of the GHC Basketball biggest fans. Since the men's and women's teams were formed, she could be found cheering at every game right behind the player's bench. She also provided game night deserts, meals at her home, and finanical and counseling support for the players. Dana passed away in 2015.
Her spirit, smile, and generosity will never be forgotten by the Charger family. It is with great honor that we welcome you to the third Dana Davis Classic at Georgia Highlands College.
On Friday University of South Carolina Salkehatchie takes on Walters State at 6:00pm followed Georgia Highlands taking on Motlow State at 8:00pm. On Saturday University of South Carolina Salkehatchie takes on Motlow State at 1:00pm followed by Georgia Highlands taking on Walters State at 3:00pm.
