The Chargers (2-2) would close out two big wins at their home opener against Motlow State.
In the game one, 5-3 win, Kara Kight would pick up her second win of the season improving her record to 2-1. In seven innings, Kight allowed 3 earned runs on 7 hits, 1 walk, and 4 strikeouts. Kight helped her own cause in the box leading the team with two hits. Deyonce Lewis, Kayla Laukka, Lexi Palazzo, and Sierrah Gani provided the power snagging a double each.
In the game two 6-1 win, Kayla Phillips would pick up her first win of the season pitching a complete game. Phillips would allow one earned run on 7 hits, 3 walks, and 2 strikeouts. Mya Adams and Alexis Davis would provide the offensive power and speed as they each had two hits and a combined three stolen bases.
Next up, the Chargers host the GHC Border Battle at Home on February 9th and 10th.
