What Has Charger Softball Been Up To This Fall?

This fall has looked a little different than any other for Chargers Softball. Class settings have changed, routines have been switched up, and "Normal" has been altered. However, the Chargers have taken these changes in stride and worked relentlessly towards the dreams of spring. Here are some things we have been doing this fall:

The fall schedule was shortened due to COVID-19 restrictions, however, the team still was able to play Reinhardt University in two double headers and a local travel ball organization called Division. The team continues to Inner-Squad scrimmage every Saturday morning to take what is worked on in practice each week to a live game setting. The Blue and Orange innersquad game Saturday, October 31st will act as the fall season grand finale.

The team also participated in the Great Lake Allatoona Clean Up Day as featured in the picture above. The team had the opportunity to help pick up trash and clean up local Red Top Mountain State Park as it meets Lake Allatoona.

Along with playing ball and helping the community, the Chargers softball team has also participated in serving food at Falcons and Atlanta United games at the Mercedes-Benz Stadium.

Despite the changes that seem to come each day, the Chargers have worked hard this fall to grow not only in softball, but as a team on and off the field. In these next few weeks the team continues to study, practice, and grow together (with masks on of course!).
