The sun was shining, and the birds were singing as the Chargers pulled up to Cuthbert, Georgia to play Andrew College in the second double header match up of the year between the two teams.

Chargers' offense came out swinging in the first inning of game one scoring three runs in the first inning with a three-run homer smacked by Izzy Marcotte. Andrew answered with a single run in the bottom of the first frame. Charger’s offense scored four more runs in the top of the fourth inning with a single and double RBIs hit by Madison Bennett, and another single with double RBIs smacked by Natalia Herrera. The Tigers’ offense had a late inning rally, but it was not enough to overcome the lead as Chargers win game one 7-5.

Maggie Schandera started the day in the circle for the Charger’s pitching staff. Schandera threw six innings of game one allowing four earned runs while striking out two of the Tigers. Madalyn Morton finished the game in the circle allowing zero hits, one walk, and zero earned runs.
