Georgia Highlands College Athletics has chosen Tanner Robertson to helm the softball program. The Huntsville, Alabama native comes to GHC with seven years of head coaching experience. She holds a B.S. in Exercise Science from Georgia Southwestern State University and an M.S. from the University of Tennessee-Southern.
"I'm beyond excited to have Tanner join the Charger family as our new head softball coach,? Director of Athletics Nicole Levering said. ?Tanner is a great human being and has a wealth of knowledge about the game. I?m looking forward to the future of Charger softball."
Coach Robertson began her college playing career at Wallace State Community College, playing on their regular season and ACCC tournament championship teams. She was an all-tournament selection in 2018 on her way to appearing in two NJCAA World Series (2017 & 2018) with the Lions. After her time at Wallace State she completed her career with the Georgia Southwestern State University Canes.
The Chargers 2025 campaign will kick off at home against the Gadsden State Cardinals on February 1 at Carol Brown Field on the Cartersville Campus of GHC. You can follow the softball team at www.ghcchargers.com
