Lady Chargers get Home win over East Georgia State

The Lady Chargers closed out their last home game before the Holiday break with a 64 - 53 GCAA Conference win over the Lady Bobcats of East Georgia State. GHC got out to a fast start in the first period going up 9-2 and ending the 1st period with a 24-17 lead. The Lady Chargers continued their hot shooting night offensively extending their lead to 10 points, 27-17 with 8:11 remaining in the first half behind Judasia Hill's 4 three pointers , Hill shot 4/7 from the three point line in the first half. 

GHC keep East Georgia at bay throughout most of the second half leading by as many as 10 points . East Georgia made a run late in the 3rd period to cut GHC's lead to 4, 37-33 but hat was as close as the Lady Bobcats would come. The Lady Chargers were led by Anna Stewart with 16, Judasia Hill with 14, and Kateryna Khomenko had 10 points and 8 rebounds.

" We had a great team effort tonight, we have struggled for 2 weeks and played well against really good teams. there was a noticeable change in our effort, intensity and focus. I am so proud of the way they played, it was good for our fans to see how good this team can be when we are locked in," said Lady Charger head coach Brandan Harrell.

GHC (7-6), (3-2) in conference play travel to Panama City Beach, Florida for the Gulf Coast Basketball Classic on Friday and Saturday. Friday they take on Bossier City Parrish at 6:00pm EST and on Saturday versus Arkansas Baptist at 1:00pm EST.
