The Lady Chargers get conference win over Albany Tech 65-53 for their 5th straight win. GHC struggle early in the 1st period to find their rhythm offensively trailing 14-13 but but Lady Charger Brianna Davis closed out the first period with a 3 pointer at the buzzer to put GHC up 16-14. The Lady Chargers started out the 2nd period with a 10-5 run to go up 26-19 but the Lady Titans of Albany Tech came storming back to cut GHC's lead to just 32-31.
The 3rd period was tight throughout the period, GHC started to pull away late to end the 3rd period with a 56-43 lead and secured the win. "We had a great effort in the second half tonight, thought we did a great job of execution. We really tightened up our defense in the 4th period," said Lady Chargers head coach Brandan Harrell.
The Lady Chargers were once again led by Anna Stewart with 21 points, Kateryna Khomenko had another double-double 20 points, and 10 rebounds, and Ozahria Fisher had 11 points.
The Lady Chargers return to action on Wednesday at home versus Atlanta Metro State, tip off 5:30pm.
