The Lady Chargers traveled to Morristown, Tennessee for the Walters State Classic ,falling 69-55 to the Lady Senators of Walters State. The Lady Chargers have been plagued with injuries in the preseason taking on six players to the weekend tournament. GHC fought tough throughout the first half trailing 23-18 at the half, but the lack of depth for the Lady Chargers was the determining factor with Walters State pulling away for the win.
The Lady Chargers were led by Ciara Thompson with 20 points followed by Destiny Marshall with 10. The Lady Chargers return to action tomorrow with a 1:00pm tip-off versus Roane State.
