Two of the top teams in GCAA battled it out at the Corral with the Lady Jets of South Georgia Tech coming away with the 85-70 win. The first half was a back and fourth affair with with the scored tied at 15 after the first period of play. GHC took its first lead at the 9:07 mark of the second period 17 -15. The Lady Jets got out to a 7 point lead , 37-30 to close out the first half. The Lady Chargers battled but had no answer in the second half the Lady Jets Alyssa Nieves who was 10/18 from the field and 7/10 from the 3 points line for 31 points and the Lady Jets closed out the game for the conference win. The Lady Chargers were led by Jahnarria Brown and Sharai Lay with 17 points each, Cierrah Perdue had 13 points and 9 rebounds, and Nijeria Jordan had 12 points. The Lady Chargers (17-10, 14-2 ) in GCAA play returns to action on Saturday as they travel to Albany Tech tip off 2:00pm.
