Georgia Highlands College men’s basketball got back into the win column Wednesday night after they beat Gordon State College 91-58 in Rome. The win snaps a 3-game skid for the Chargers, who are still in the hunt for a GCAA quarterfinal home game. They sit at 5-4 in the conference and 13-8 overall.
GHC led 40-25 at halftime and outscore GSC 51-33 in the second half. They also shot 50% from the field and 34% from beyond the arc. Marquin Thompson (South Gwinnett HS) led the Chargers with 26 points, and Cameron Baldwin (Allatoona HS) had 5 blocks.
The Chargers will look to stay in the win column this weekend with two road games, Saturday at Andrew College and Sunday Albany Tech.
