Georgia Highlands College

Clifton Puckett begins his first year as the Director of Sports Information and Operations, and his 14^th year at GHC. He also oversees the Office of Student Engagement, which sustains student and co-curricular activities, orientations, SGA, the Student Ambassadors Program, Career Services and Competitive Sports. He also currently serves as the college’s head coach of women’s volleyball.

Puckett is an Athens transplant who graduated from Berry College with a B.A. in English. Immediately after graduation, he became a graduate assistant in the Athletics Department at Berry, working in various roles with intramurals and outdoor recreation, sports information, facilities management and game day operations. In 2010 he became the Intramurals Coordinator at GHC, starting the program at the Cartersville Campus, before moving into various roles in Admissions, Enrollment Management and eventually Student Life.

He is married to Whitney, and they have 2 kids: Asher (6) and Lynleigh (2). In his spare time, he officiates high school football and serves as training clinician for the GHSA.
