Georgia Highlands took a 5-2 victory over Cleveland State on Tuesday to sweep the season series against the Cougars and improve to 12-7 heading into March. Brady Barker earned his first victory of the season with 3 innings of scoreless relief, and Lavoisier Fisher led the offense with a double, a triple, and 2 RBI's in the contest. The win caps off a 12-7 run for the Chargers as they head into March.
Head Coach Dash O'Neill is optimistic as his team gets close to the midpoint of the season. "We really just need to keep playing as a team and working hard on the little things moving forward. The biggest thing is that this is a group that is really fun to be around, and they care about one another, so I'm looking forward to seeing them compete as we get a little further into it."
The Chargers will be back in action this Saturday at 3PM against East Georgia at Lakepoint.
