Chargers Roll to Doubleheader Sweep

On another cold and rainy day, the Charger baseball team ran away with a doubleheader sweep of visiting Point University by scoring 30 unanswered runs on the afternoon.  Led by dominant pitching and supported by an explosive offense, the Chargers tossed back to back shutouts for the second time in two weeks and invoked the mercy rule in both games.

Conner Perry, Dalton Bradford, Griffin Brown, Chase Townsend, Jacob Ryan, and Jakob Brown combined to toss 11 scoreless innings and allowed just 5 hits and 1 walk in the victories.  David Smith drove in 7 runs and Mickey Maguire pounded out 5 hits on the day to lead the offensive attack.

GHC is now 16-4 on the season heading into a three game series this weekend with Sinclair.  First pitch is at 1PM on Saturday.
