The Lady Chargers traveled to the Panama City, Florida to take on Bossier Parish College in the first round of the Gulf Coast Classic and came away with a 87-75 loss. GHC led at the end of the 1st period 22-18 but Bossier Parish closed the gap with a strong 2nd period to tie the Lady Chargers at the half 35-35.
Bossier Parish got off to a strong start in the 3rd period leading 59-51 and pulling away for the 12 point win. The Lady Chargers were led by Briana Davis with 21 and Ozahria Fisher with 17 points. " Briana and Ozahria really carried us tonight both offensivley and defensively. they both played 40 minutes and are the only reason we were even in the game," said Lady Charger head coach Brandan Harrell.
GHC (7-6) will return to action today at 1:00pm EST as they take on Arkansas Baptist College in game two of the Gulf Coast Classic.
