With 4 players in double digits the Lady Chargers get the win over the Lady Bobcats of East Georgia State 73-43. The Lady Chargers sprinted out of the gate to take a 22-8 lead after the first period and extending their lead to 34 - 16 at the half. GHC dominated in the paint out rebounding the Lady Bobcats 62 to 38. The Lady Chargers continued their strong play in the second half leading by as many as 34 late in the game. The Lady Chargers scored 40 of their points in the paint compared to East Georgia's 8. "Very proud of how we responded when our leading scorer was not having her usual great night, proud of the way we battled in the paint and Sharai Lay was one assist away from a triple double, proud of our ladies tonight," said Lady Charger head coach Brandan Harrell. The Lady Chargers were led by Nijeria Jordan with 20 points. Sharai Lay had an outstanding game with 16 points, 21 rebounds, and 9 assist, Jahnarria Brown had 16 points and 12 rebounds, and Ja'lyn Reese had 12 points, 7 steals, and 6 assists. The Lady Chargers, 13 - 9, 8-1 in conference play travel to Central Georgia Tech on Saturday, tip off 2:00pm.
