The Lady Chargers fought off a tough East Georgia State Lady Bobcat squad and survived with a 58-56 conference win on the road. The first half was a game with both teams unable to pull away with the Lady Chargers taking a 28-26 lead into the half. In the third period the Lady Chargers pulled out to their largest lead of the game, 15 points, 45-30. The Lady Bobcats were not done and fought back to cut the Lady Chargers led to 2, but that was as close as East Georgia would come and the Lady Chargers held on for the win.
The Lady Chargers were led by Jahnarria Brown with 19 points, Jessica Eadsforth-Yates had 11 points, and Ciara Thompson had 10. With the win the Lady Chargers wrapped up the regular season with a record of 18-12 and the #2 seed in the NJCAA Region XXVII tournament. The Lady Chargers will host the quarter-final game on Tuesday at home versus Southern Crescent Tech, tip off 6:00pm.
