The Chargers split day two of the Sun Chief Classic losing to the top-ranked Alabama squad of Central Alabama Community College before defeating Motlow State 12-4.
In game one, Kayla Phillips (2-4) would earn the loss. The Chargers would allow eight runs in the first, before Haley Robinson would provide relief only allowing one run in the second before two innings of scoreless ball. The Chargers would get four hits in the outing.
Game two would be a stellar comeback for the Chargers as they pounded out 15 hits and 3 stolen bases against Motlow State. Alexis Davis would provide an exciting in the park homerun as she cleared the heads of Motlow's outfield and legged out four-bags in under 11 seconds. Her two hits were combined with stellar outings from Mya Adams, Deyonce Lewis, Sierrah Gani, Lexi Palazzo, and Haley Robinson who all also added two hits on the day. Kara Kight (5-2) would get the win throwing 7 innings, allowing four runs (3 earned), scattering ten hits and two walks, while striking out four.
