Talli Burgess begins her first year as Assistant Softball Coach at Georgia Highlands College. 

Burgess graduated from University of the Cumberlands in May of 2024 with a Bachelor of Science in Allied Health. During her four years at UC, Talli was a part of the varsity softball team. Burgess played the role of starting pitcher for the Patriots, leading her team to two Region Championships, a Conference Tournament, as well as two NAIA World Series appearances (3rd & 6th place finishes). While playing for Cumberlands, Talli received numerous awards including; 4x All-Conference, 2x NAIA All-American, 2x MSC Pitcher of Year, 10x MSC Pitcher of the Week, and 3x Female Athlete of the Month. Talli finished her pitching career with a 59-8 Record, 20 saves, 21 complete games, 2.11 ERA, .196 opponent batting average, and 409 strikeouts. Burgess currently holds the career records for ERA, wins, saves, and appearances.
